Leverage non-dilutive funding for innovative projects through R&D tax credits

R&D tax credits represent the largest source of funding available to businesses outside of private capital, providing a powerful non-dilutive financing option that enables innovative companies to save money while preserving equity.

RCK Partners helps innovative businesses navigate the scheme by providing specialist, sector specific R&D tax credit advice and claim preparation services.

Headquartered in the City of London, RCK is a leading tax consultancy firm of Chartered Tax Advisers specialising in innovation-focused tax incentives.

R&D Consultants

RCK’s R&D Consultants are specialists not generalists. RCK hire directly from industry so that their consultants have a vocational understanding of the topics in which they prepare claims for and can understand the technical nuances of each R&D project. Their backgrounds are varied from PhD-level scientists, to engineers. Consultants are strategically paired with RCK's clients, considering their backgrounds and expertise.

Strategic Advisory Network

The firm is further supported by its Innovation Advisory Council (IAC), a network of senior industry advisers, who act as an additional advisory layer and who bring wealth of experience from across their respective sectors. Their advice is grounded in first-hand understanding and provides deep, up-to-date, sector-specific insight that complements the knowledge of RCK’s existing teams to advise both the business and RCK's clients. Meet the IAC here.

RCK’s board also includes former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Lord Philip Hammond and Lord Iain McNicol, former General Secretary of the Labour party, sit on RCK’s board of directors and advise on corporate strategy, the macroeconomic environment, and the tax landscape.

Independent Compliance Function

Each claim that RCK submit to HMRC is reviewed by their independent, in- house compliance and review team. This team is comprised of former HMRC inspectors, a lawyer and accountants. This means that these individuals have sat on both sides of a claim and review each claim with a tax inspectors’ mindset before it is sent to HMRC.

Claim Optimisation and Fee Structure

RCK offer a free optimisation review of existing R&D tax credit claims. Due to RCK's industry leading technical team backed by ex-HMRC inspectors, we are typically able to identify a greater range of R&D projects and associated costs than accountants. If we don’t identify any additional saving, no fee will be charged. We work on a contingency fee basis for all claims.
